The mission of the International Health Service Collaborative (IHSC) is promote global health sustainability and foster interprofessional development. Our commitment extends to making a meaningful impact both locally in the U.S and internationally in Medellin, Colombia, where our interdisciplinary team, comprised of physicians and students in medicine, pharmacy, and public health, plays a crucial role.In planning our annual medical service trip, we collaborate with the local government to assess the unique needs of the community in Santa Cruz, Medellin, Colombia. Understanding the specific challenges faced by the peo

ple, we tailor our services to provide comprehensivecare and education. Our team conducts various services, including medical, pharmacy, and pediatric consultations, cardiovascular risk assessments,

home visits, and engages in public health education initiatives.
In addition to our dedication to healthcare, ISC plays a crucial role in providing essential medications to those in need. We believe in holistic wellness, addressing not only immediate medical concerns but also contributing to the overall health and well-being of the community.
Furthermore, our annual medical service trip to Medellin allows students to develop both clinical and interpersonal skills while contributing to the global health landscape. In our 2023 trip, we proudly served approximately 250 patients over three days, extending our reach through public health education initiatives that benefited many more throughout the community.
