What We Do
Hope and Health Project is dedicated to collaborate and connect with groups and organizations that help others in need in any part of the world. We are very concerned with the lack of medical, dental care, access to education, hygienic living conditions and safe shelter for residents in underdeveloped countries.
This is why we exist, to assist medical and dental students, licensed physicians and or dentists in providing health and dental care in those areas targeted by Hope & Health Project. By assisting other professionals and groups to provide educational, economic, and enviromental assistance we will improve the living and health conditions of those residents in rural, underdeveloped areas.
For more than 15 years we have worked with hundreds of medical students and physicians and we have helped thousands of needy children and adults in such areas as Jarabacoa (Dominican Republic), Haiti, and Nicaragua.
Each year we travel to the Dominican Republic for a medical mission trip bringing suitcases packed with medications and basic hygienic supplies including anti-parasitic medications, vitamins, toothbrushes, toothpaste, pain and fever madications and other basic remedies. These may be easily available to us in the U.S but are not always available in those remote communities. We like to teach and promote health, provide basic medical supplies and humanitarian needs, work with local health care providers, perform basic surgical procedures and provide flouride varnish treatments, vitamins and parasites treatment.
